Artist Statement

Chainsaw Chicken: Visual Satire for the Digital Age is an ongoing independent digital art project that combines photographic compositing with narrative satire. Through the recurring figure of Chainsaw Chicken — a human wearing a rubber chicken mask — the work places an absurd but recognizable character within familiar cultural, political, and historical settings.

The project uses humor and visual paradox as tools for reflection. By juxtaposing the ordinary with the surreal, each image invites viewers to reconsider accepted narratives, social assumptions, and the ways societies interpret events and memory.

Developed over more than a decade as a self-directed digital practice, Chainsaw Chicken explores satire as a contemporary visual language, where imagery, narrative context, and cultural commentary merge to create a distinctive form of digital storytelling.
