Have you ever seen a headless chicken walking around energetically? The incredible chicken who’s head has been cut off was still able to balance on a perch and move as steadily as any chickens with a head. It has attracted lots of attention from local residents, some people were so amazed and said that seeing this animal was a miracle.

It’s not much of a miracle. Chainsaw is indirectly related to this Mike ‘dude’. It does show the superiority of the breed. Many people think that several members of Chainsaw’s family have no brains and they walk around just fine.

Celebrate the 18th Annual ‘Mike the Headless Chicken’ Festival June 3rd and 4th, in Fruita, Colorado. This festival is dedicated to the amazing story of one chicken’s will to live. Events such as a 5k run, disc golf tournament, wing and peep eating contests, live music, delicious food and artisan booths make this a weekend to remember.
