Think back to those Junior High or Middle School dances. The gym is decorated but is generally dark. The refreshment table is better illuminated with some bagged cookies laid out and a punch bowl with some small paper cups lined up.
You and the guys are in small groups of a dozen or so talking to each other while watching those few couples actually dancing. It was always the one’s that seemed to always be “going” with someone.
Then whom ever is in charge of the records play “Crimson and Clover”, then the long version of “Hey Jude”. The guys start looking closer at the girls for a willing partner.
It seemed that all the girls would group together against one wall.
I never could figure out why they did that, but you have to remember the lights were turned down. It was probably providence acting to save me from meeting my next ex-wife.
Woah! I’m really digging this website. It’s simple, yet insightful. A lot of times it’s hard to get that “perfect balance” between superb humor and visual appeal. I must say you’ve done a excellent job with this.
