The idea, the concept, the notion of being like Chainsaw Chicken has been around for decades. In point of fact, before chainsaws were invented, the name Bucksaw Chicken was used.

Here we see an early photo of a devoted worshiper emulating the craze of being Bucksaw Chicken. With the advent of the smaller, capable engine that could be attached to a wood-cutting chain (thus Chainsaw) the name evolved.

This suit was especially efficient in the late fall with the cooler weather. As a note, it was later discovered that wearing this outfit was safer AFTER Thanksgiving regardless of the confusion with a mature turkey.
