If you check the official studio listings you won’t find it.
If you asked Bill Shatner he will tell you that “You are crazy. Didn’t happen, You are nutz!”
You could own every TV Guide from 1966 to 1969 and you won’t see it in the listings.
But when I was visiting my uncle Jerome in the Hollywood ‘has been’ Industry Retirement Home, he had the above picture on his dresser. He was a bit player and stuntman working for Desilu Studios.
“Uncle Jerome, Is that you in the picture with Captain Kirk?” I inquired.
“You bet’ch it is. I really whooped the tar out of ol’ Kirk n that scene. I actually drew his blood. I still have the rag we cleaned him up with. Got it in that there cupboard shelf pressed into my scrap book”.
“Wow, Unc. I didn’t now that! I don’t think I’ve ever seen that episode. When did it air? I questioned.
He turned his head, starred right at me for a moment, then shook his head. “You can’t. Lucy Ball pulled it because of the blood. But I have the video tape. I call it the Lost Star Trek Episode. I’m gonna try to sell it on Ebay if I can get my caregiver to help me with it”
Your g’pa seems cool.
Our local chapter would like to have you and your Uncle come and speak at our next convention.
I’ll take a copy in Beta IF YOU HAVE IT.
It’s not lost. I watched it on Pluto.
My boyfriend would like a copy of that for his home collection of Star Trek Memorabilia. I would like to get it for his as a parting gift because I hate that crap and will be leaving him!
