While the other kids on my block were building forts from cardboard and blankets, Chickpea Chicken had saved his allowance for weeks and finally purchased his own Polaris Submarine.
Floating in our 4 foot by 40 feet above ground pool, with the skimmer pump float used to to provide air with the unit. With the periscope extended, Chickpea is able to stand guard for any invaders from other neighborhoods. He is saving up to receive the ‘weapon’s activation kit’ to make the warheads on the missiles and torpedoes functional.
It;s rather humorous to see the sub surface and the two occupant stand on deck and pee in the swimming pool, then return, close up and you hear the alert…
