In 1962, the White House held a greeting for the FFA (Future Farmers of America) winners around the country.
Many future popular figures can be seen in this publicity photo.
From the left to right you can see my cousin Vinny Chicken, Charles Hardin Holley (known as Buddy), Li’l Jimmie Chicken (in the back), William Jefferson Clinton (Slick-Willy), Roy Kelton Orbison, three more of my cousins Moe, Larry and Curly Chicken, JFK and Chainsaw Chicken in a ‘Gump’ moment.
William Jefferson Clinton received a special award and handshake from the president because of the hair-jelly he created from boiling hog skins.
Thus the name, Slick-Willy.
You notice that Kennedy had a towel ready to clean his hand after the greeting.
