Did you see this on NBC’s coverage of the 2020/2021 summer 0lympics? Probably not. Let me recap it for you.
The scene opens with a morning shot of Mt. Fuji overlooking the Olympic village. Then dissolves to the view of the platform driving structures.
“Hello Everyone! Ralph Murdock here. We take you to the 7 meter platform diving about to begin. Let’s go to the action. Now approaching the edge is Chainsaw Chicken. One of few members from the delegation of Chicktopia who failed to appear in the opening ceremonies.”
He continued, “Lining up on the edge, he is scheduled to do a reverse jack-knife followed by a triple Lutz, robbing from the ice skaters skills. Whoa… something has happened! Chainsaw has began to fall and gripped the side rail catching himself from falling. The voice in my ear says that we will be back to this after we check on gymnastics competition. Cue the music”
Later, Chainsaw was interviewed by a Jamaican television reporter. All he could say was, “So what… so I slipped!”
